Catcher in the rye

JD Salinger.Actually he wrote this book.
Catcher in the rye.Actually this was the book he wrote.
Well the above two lines are not useless ,as u might have thought. But they kind of give one direct hint about what the book is all about. And if one really want to read this book, than he or she should be good at heart. I mean that one should be able to feel this book. It's not worth reading ,if u can't feel it. Overall it's a short story about a guy named Holden Caulfield. While reading you might feel that your the one JD is talking about..
It's a great feel to know someone so closely(holden). JD just opened up his thought procedure .He just elaborated a great process of thinking.
Explaining in nutshell i would just say that this book was all about a simple yet good man. And you can't explain the greatness of this book, until and unless u are able to think how that particular boy was thinking.
I would also suggest to read this book a bit fast in starting and slow in the end and just try to feel his thought procedure...
